God’s enemies have made up a deceitful plan with counsel against God’s protected ones (144,000 Jews).

Edom will stand prominently (as obvious leader) while strangers carry away Jewish property.

When Israel is destroyed, the most courageous men will flee unencumbered (abandoning weapons, excess clothing, jewelry, etc.).
