Description

The Holy Temple will be entered by the heathen, polluting it.

Psalm 79:1
KJV:  O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.
TNK:  A psalm of Asaph. O God, heathens have entered Your domain, defiled Your holy temple, and turned Jerusalem into ruins.

Those of Jerusalem will be internationally scorned and ridiculed

Psalm 79:4
KJV:  We are become a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.
TNK:  We have become the butt of our neighbors, the scorn and derision of those around us.

The prayers of the saints with incense are offered on the Golden Altar

Revelation 8:3
KJV:  And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
JNT: Another angel came and stood at the altar with a gold incense-bowl, and he was given a large quantity of incense to add to the prayers of all God's people

Smoke of Saint’s prayers and incense ascend before God from the messenger’s hand

Revelation 8:4
KJV:  And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand.
JNT: on the gold altar in front of the throne. The smoke of the incense went up with the prayers of God's people from the hand of the angel before God.

The Incense Messenger will take fire from the Altar with the censor

Revelation 8:5

JNT: Then the angel took the incense-bowl, filled it with fire from the altar and threw it down onto the earth; and there followed peals of thunder, voices, flashes of lightning and an earthquake.

Reasons

God’s anger toward the Jew will permit the desecration of the temple and the slaughter of Jews in and around Jerusalem

Psalm 79:5
KJV:  How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire?
TNK:  How long, O Lord, will You be angry forever, will Your indignation blaze like fire?

There is a golden incense altar in front of heavens throne

Revelation 8:3

Results

There will not be anyone to bury the multitude slain in and around Jerusalem.

This is connected with the polution of the temple.

Psalm 79:3
KJV:  Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; and there was none to bury them.
TNK:  Their blood was shed like water around Jerusalem, with none to bury them.

God’s Wrath is prayed to happen right after the temple is polluted.

The context of the Psalm is the pollution of the temple and the horrible bloodshed of those in Jerusalem

Psalm 79:6
KJV:  Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name.
TNK:  Pour out Your fury on the nations that do not know You, upon the kingdoms that do not invoke Your name,

When the fire is cast to the earth, there will be noises

Revelation 8:6

Extent

Dead bodies will be left unburied in utter contempt of the Jewish people, after a major slaughter of them in Jerusalem.

This has been done with the destruction of the first temple, and the second temple. Because there are elements still to be fulfilled, it will be done again.

Psalm 79:2
KJV:  The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.
TNK:  They have left Your servants' corpses as food for the fowl of heaven, and the flesh of Your faithful for the wild beasts.

Timing

The Prince will end sacrifices in the middle of the Treaty duration.

Daniel 9:27
KJV:  And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
TNK:  During one week he will make a firm covenant with many. For half a week he will put a stop to the sacrifice and the meal offering. At the corner [of the altar] will be an appalling abomination until the decreed destruction will be poured down upon the appalling thing.
