Being clothed with immortal bodies means we will not experience a time of nakedness as we wait for the rapture.

This debunks soul sleep. If the soul slept, it would not be wanting to be clothed with a body.

The many Saints make up one united body in the Messiah.

At the rapture, the body is brought together, not just parts of it are raptured. This answers the critics who claim only the dead will rise again.
