The Messiah Will Return, Amos 1:1-2

The words of Amos, a sheep breeder from Tekoa, who prophesied concerning Israel in the reigns of Kings Uzziah of Judah and Jeroboam son of Joash of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

2 He proclaimed:
The Lord roars from Zion,
Shouts aloud from Jerusalem;
And the pastures of the shepherds shall languish,
And the summit of Carmel shall wither.

Amos was a sheep breeder

Amos lived during Uzziah’s reign

Uzziah was also called Azariah, which means, “God has helped.” Uzziah, his throne name, means, “my strength is in God.” His father was assassinated in Lachish from a conspiracy that arose from his apostasy. Uzziah, at just 16 years of age became the king of Judah, around 792 B.C. He was energetic, well organized, and diversified in ability. God blessed him in all his doings, because he did what was right in God’s eyes. He did have a problem, because he never went after the removal of the heathen places of worship.

He drafted an army of over 300,000 soldiers that were distinguished as men of valor. His army was not only well outfitted with armor and weapons; they also had machines of war. He became famous because of his military accomplishments and because of God’s help.

His downfall came when he went to offer incense into the Temple of God. Eighty priests stood up to him and confronted him, and when Uzziah became angry, he was struck with leprosy, and he was placed in isolation.

Amos lived during Jeroboam’s reign

There were two Jeroboams that reigned, and the first led the split of Israel from Solomon’s son. The second Jeroboam is the one referred to here. He is the 14th king of Israel. He reigned for 41 years, but was an evil king, much like the one he was named after. The nation was very wealthy and the capital city of Samara was filled with heathen “culture” and practices. The wealthy forced the poorer land owners to live in cities, and there was great oppression against “lesser” people by the wealthy and powerful.

Messiah will roar from Jerusalem

The message Amos was told to tell the two kingdoms of Israel is that God was going to come to Jerusalem and roar like a lion! His roar was going to mean that the status quo was going to end. Oppression, selfish greed of officials, corrupt politicians and judges, the whole system was going to be stopped dead.

No longer was a blessed king going to march into the Temple to act as a High Priest. No longer will armies and warfare be used. No longer will citizens have to foot the bill of goods, services and blood for a country’s elite. God was going to take all power back, and He is going to end corruption forever.

Forests and meadows will wither

Of course, Amos’ big concern was animal care! Even the pastures will be withered up at God’s roar. God is going to stop the current system of weeds and briars and regenerate the pasture lands with fresh and rich pasturage.

But before that, everything must stop!

Syria Will Commit Unpardonable Atrocities, Amos 1:3

3 Thus said the Lord:
For three transgressions of Damascus,
For four, I will not revoke it:
Because they threshed Gilead
With threshing boards of iron.

Syria is just a country the size of North Dakota. It is a source of the natural resources of oil, phosphates, chrome, manganese, asphalt, iron, salt, marble, and gypsum. There are over 18 million people living in Syria and middle age is 20 years old. Since 1963 the country has had a military government. The country serves as a transit point for opiates and illegal drugs.

There are seven things God declares are an abomination to Him. Syria can be summed up as place where people live that do all seven! Proverbs 6:16-19:

16 Six things the Lord hates;
Seven are an abomination to Him:

17 A haughty bearing,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,

18 A mind that hatches evil plots,
Feet quick to run to evil,

19 A false witness testifying lies,
And one who incites brothers to quarrel.[1]

God notes Syria’s violations of rights

God has set bounds for each nation and people. Each violation is noted by God. It does not matter that the people are ignorant of His ways; God freely offers to guide them into the truth if they want to learn it.

Syria has committed many violent acts against God’s land and people throughout its people. Starting from the time of Jacob, when Laban the Syrian wanted to kill Jacob and take his possessions for himself. God intervened because Jacob was following divine instructions to leave Syria. Jacob was also in an impossible situation with Laban being a very controlling and devious leader. Jacob’s only chance was to flee and get out of Laban’s jurisdiction. Ever since that day, the Syrians have tried to destroy their cousins in Israel.

When Syria oversteps their boundaries and trespasses on the land of Israel, God notes it. Syria has overstepped its bounds working in Lebanon for many years, funneling money and supplies from Iran to their army stationed in Lebanon. From Lebanon the Syrian soldiers attack Israel on a daily basis. Right now the French are there to monitor the situation, but France is a Muslim controlled country, and very much in support of Syria’s Muslim actions against Israel.

This week there were several screaming headlines about the Syrians firing missiles at Israel and about Israel having to strike a Syrian military vehicle that entered the security zone between the two countries. Even though Syria is mired in a bloody civil war where thousands are dying, they still have the determination to attack Israel at the same time, and in fact hope to heal their country by getting all factions united on the one thing they agree on, attacking Israel! The hope is that instead of using all the weapons on each other they will unite their firepower and strike Israel again.

God will not revoke His Holy justice

God cannot turn a blind eye to the horrific atrocities built into the Syrian mind. They are bent on killing each other and most especially anyone who is Jewish. This kind of people cannot be reformed. No one can change their heart and murderous bent.

Syria will pulverize those of Gilead

Syria is going to mow down the Jewish people living in the Golan Heights with threshers. These machines are huge today, and they go through cutting grain stalks and beating it till it separates into straw and grain. I doubt the separation parts will be functional on these Syrian threshers, but the pulverizing will work quite well on humans. It is a frightening thing to be standing in front of an oncoming thresher today!

clip_image004

Diagram of a Modern Thresher[i]

But some would say we do not have such things happening today! We have the United Nations which was put in place to end all such holocausts and mass genocides. The fact is, since the beginning of the United Nations, holocausts against whole races of people have stepped up and been kept going like never before! People are under harsh dictatorships like never before in history! The dictators today make the ancient kings look soft and mild in comparison.

For example, who can forget Tiananmen Square when on Jun 4, 1989, when the Chinese Army simply mowed down the protesters with tanks, crushing thousands of people as if they were trash? No one knows how many actually died, because the Chinese government blocked all press and documentation of the event, claiming they never fired on the people. However, there are photographs and documentation of the Chinese Army firing on citizens starting outside Beijing, and leaving a path of death and destruction as they fought their way to the Square, then crushed and murdered everyone present. Sadly, it is the Arab press that has the horrific photos, and they like to keep showing them! It is interesting that they seem to want to learn from it how bring massive death to Jewish people.

Lately the news leaking out of the closed country of Syria is that there are hundreds being massacred every day there for protesting the king and his policies. If an army has no qualms with mowing down thousands of their own people each month, what would they do to the people they are taught to hate with a vengeance from birth? Are they just practicing efficient techniques so they can do what they really want to do, that of whole-sale massacre of Jews in a whole region? God says they are just warming up today. They are planning a Holocaust of Jews and Christians of their own.

The bloodshed among the Arab countries goes on all the time. It is estimated that 175,000 were killed in the little country of Lebanon from the 1970’s to 1990. The bloodshed in Syria is even harder to guess in recent years.

But has Syria ever done this? Have they ever run threshing equipment over the Israelites? They have and it is in their blood as something they like, so they will do it again soon.

II Kings 13:7: Neither did he leave of the people to Jehoahaz but fifty horsemen, and ten chariots, and ten thousand footmen; for the king of Syria had destroyed them, and had made them like the dust by threshing.[2]

Messiah Will End Syrian Power, Amos 1:4

4 I will send down fire upon the palace of Hazael,
And it shall devour the fortresses of Ben-hadad.

Citadels & Army basses will burn down

God will send fire against all the military bases of Syria! They are all going to be eliminated and all their weapons, ridding them from the face of the earth. This would include the vast amount of equipment that Sadam Hussein moved into Syria before our military takeover of Iraq.

clip_image006

Syria’s military and government will be annihilated

Syrians Will Be Exiled, Amos 1:5

5 I will break the gate bars of Damascus,
And wipe out the inhabitants from the Vale of Aven
And the sceptered ruler of Beth-eden;
And the people of Aram shall be exiled to Kir
—said the Lord.

Syrian security areas will be broken up

Literally, all the dead bolts in Syria will be broken open! There will not be any locks that are not broken in Syria, every secured place will be opened and cleared. There will not be any weapon stores or chemical weapon stores, or even any hidden valuables. Everything will be revealed and publically assessable.

Aven’s citizens will die

Those who dwell in the Valley of Aven will be cut away from humanity; they will die.

Officials will die

The royal families will be executed. They will no longer plaque the land or be available to reinstall as leaders ever again.

Remaining Aramaic People will be assigned

There has been much discussion about the place they are exiled to, but there is a real possibility it is a type of work, not a place. They will become the tar workers for the Millennial Kingdom. Most of the current infrastructure of the world today will be broken up and destroyed. There will be some great building, and first and foremost will be the building of Zion, a word Arabs hate. The new Temple will be raised; the camping facilities to house the world population three times a year will be put in place. Flat, straight roads will be made from all areas on earth for quick and easy passage to Zion. There will be a need of tar and asphalt as glue and binder, as it has always been needed. Those left in Syria will be the tar workers of the new Kingdom, and frankly will be glad of the chance to live and serve God. Instead of fighting Israel and all Jews as a matter of life, those few left will be servants of Israel, much as the Gibeonites were servants in the days of Joshua.

Concluding Thoughts

1. The Almighty Son of God, Messiah, is going to return soon, but when He comes, He will not be a lamb, and no one will be able to harm Him in any way. As Christians we must spread the word of His imminent return and live ready to be raptured at any moment.

2. God’s roar is a signal to His people that help has arrived; and to everyone else, it is the end of all the things they love and hold dear, if they can survive the decimation of many things. As Christians we must learn to love what God loves and hate what God hates. What we see today is only temporary. Forming attachments to them is sin and it keeps us from obeying and following our Savior.

3. Nothing today will be worth saving. Even pasturage has to wither completely away and become sterile. As Christians, understanding the laws of cleanliness in God’s eyes is the only way to understand God’s attitude toward the world’s crooked and perverse ways.

4. God will not let mankind determine their own laws and governments ever again. As Christians we have to hold the line on what is right according to God and the law of the land. Letting organizations tell us what we should do is not following God. God’s Word sets the standards and unless we learn what it says and how things should be, we will always accept what we feel is expedient or a good compromise. God never accepts compromise for what is right and as His representatives, neither can we.

5. Syria in particular will completely be cleared of all government officials and the cities will be slaughtered. Supporting them in any way is wrong and makes us party to the evil conducted in that country every day. Joining with the wild Muslim takeover of the country is also wrong. As Christians we must pray for the Christians in the country whose lives are always in jeopardy as well as for the Jews who are there, that they may be saved and come to the light of the Gospel.

6. Syria is going to attack the Golan of Israel and pulverize any Jewish people and Jewish evidence of existence. Jewish people there now would do well to flee the area in obedience to God’s Word, and Israel’s only chance of existence is to secure the area and keep all settlements out of it as a military buffer area between the two countries. This takeover may happen a couple more times.

7. Syrian people can be spared and their hope for survival is by getting out of their corrupt country before God comes in anger to them. Many live in Brazil today and there is a large population in the United States today. Those who have left may have left due to the persecution so many groups receive in their homeland. These pilgrims may be ready to hear and follow the truth. Reaching them with the Gospel is important, and frankly their only hope of survival both today and in the future.

Drinking Nazir and Silent Preachers!

Dec
14
2012

God chose out the most elite among the young mature men of Israel to be nazir and prophets. Nazir were those who made a vow to God and could not let anything get in the way of fulfilling their vow, not even stopping for a fruit drink, or cutting their hair. They were to be steadfast in reaching their goal and then returning to the Temple to be purified and released from the vow.

Paul became nazir to obey God and go to Jerusalem again, probably for a feast day. Even though he was an apostle to the Gentiles, and hundreds of miles away, he made a vow to return and make a required feast. Others served God in this way, always seeking to obey God and vowing to perform His duty in some fashion.

Prophets, or better known today as Preachers, were also sent by God with a message to Israel, and told to make sure the Israelites heard. Often the best way to do that was to get up at one of the great feasts and repeat the message to the crowds that gathered at the Temple to sacrifice and listen to speeches.

The normal Jewish reaction was to make those that were nazir drink some kind of fruit drink, knowing that such violated their vow to God. In other words, they did not consider such zealous obedience to God as deserving respect. They belittled it and forcibly sought to undo the vow by disqualifying the person under obligation by a vow given by God.

Regarding the prophets, they would command they not speak for God, and that they just be quiet. Those that persisted were executed. Often God’s spokesman was just one against a thousand that spoke what people wanted to hear, and completely opposite what God wanted said.

God is going to put Israel through another holocaust because they refuse to follow His Word or His spokesmen. They completely reject His Son, Jesus, the Messiah.

The problem is, God focuses on Israel and their problems, and the reason He will continue to pummel them till they get things right. Where does that put the Gentiles? If God is really angry at what the Jewish people do to the men of God, what will He do with the Gentiles that are even worse when it comes to holy people?

The holy men of God today are either without work, in prison, or dead. They are not allowed to speak openly about the things God says. America was the last place on earth where Baptists fought to have a right to speak openly about God’s word, have the children of America taught God’s word and prayer and to freely worship God without restrictions. These hard fought for measures have been cancelled in the United States so that it can be like all other nations, the majority of which kill Christians in mass killings after using them as slaves of the state to perform inhuman work in deadly conditions.

Meanwhile, clowns and entertainers have taken over the function of holy men, saying only things that fill the coffers of self-serving luxury and immoral depravity. They have taken the holy atmosphere of solemn worship and hymn singing done in the homes of the devout and built huge warehouses for the seduction of humanity, and the extracting of wealth from even those that have nothing. They make promises that never are fulfilled and become apt at lulling a nation into a stupor as it falls into disaster and under God’s curse.

Which crowd do you support and identify with today? Is it the broad way to your own eternal destruction and punishment or the one that is only for the persecuted but heavenly focused individual?

These thoughts come from Amos 2:12

Mount Olivet Split

Jul

2012

We are reviewing and reworking Zechariah 14 and today had the fourth verse!

What a hidden gem! Christ is going to touch down and stand on the Mount of Olives. At that point the mountain will split into two halves and create a wide open valley.

I always thought their would be a little gorge or rift, and that it would be scary going in the little space, requiring a great deal of faith.

Not so, the Mount will break apart and plow open a large, clean, fresh space for God’s remnant of holy Israelites to enter.

The southern half of the mountain will flatten and fill in the area as it moves toward the Negev. The northern half of Olivet will flatten and fill in the area heading toward the north.

So what will this mean? It means the Arab sections will be completely destroyed just east of the Temple Mount. Only God knows how much of the mountain will be moved, but if the whole elevated portion of the mount just east of the temple platform is included, the sweeping movement will pulverize all the Arab quarters from Bethlehem to Ramallah.

This will leave a clean area, free of graves, and other pollution going back 5,000 years! God’s holy remnant of Israelites will have that vast open area to swarm into, and await the saving work of their Messiah.

But isn’t the destruction of the Arab lands a horrible thing? Frankly, the Arabs in the region are there only to force the Israelites out of their land and to see that no Jewish person survives. They are so bent on destroying Israel, they cannot be reasoned with, any more than Moses could reason with the Egyptian Pharaoh, before the Jewish people were given the land around Jerusalem.

The only way to gain peace in Israel is for every Arab to be removed permanently from the full land of Israel which is a vast area laid out by God, the Creator. The Israelites have never obeyed God in removing these heathen peoples, so God will have to step in and do it Himself. Obviously, God is extending every chance for the Arab to convert, but the majority of Arabs have hardened their hearts to hate God and His people.

Take a peak at all the neat features we have on the verse in our new Prophecy Guide: Zechariah 14:4

Zephaniah 1:10

Feb
01
2012

Wow! What a verse! Everywhere that fish is sold there’ll be nothing but howling. People will be filled with dismay and horror when they go to the fish rack, aisle or counter, and all they find is bare and empty shelves. Everyone in the industry will be howling and crying out in horror, because their whole livelihood is gone.

So what is this saying? It is saying that the current fish industry, as we know it today, and as it has been for thousands of years, is going to stop. Even some of Christ’s disciples fished with nets, and lived off the fishing industry. In the millennium, there is no talk of a fish industry. There will be no more seas or oceans. The great fish today will be miniature fish in the future. And the small and insignificant fish of today will be the large delicious fish of the future. Furthermore it only talks about people using a fishing line in order to catch fish.

With sin out-of-the way, the labor that is involved in producing food will no longer be a hindrance or problem. If you want some fish, you walk down to the river that comes from the Temple, toss in a hook on a line, and you have immediately a good healthy fish almost ready to eat.

There will not be a need for fish markets, fishermen, regulators, packing sheds, fish processors, freezers, shippers, canners, inspectors, buyers, auction houses, boat builders, boat suppliers, boat repair, search and rescue, etc. everyone involved in any part of the industry will simply be out of a job. On the day of God they will go about howling in despair. They will meet together to commiserate and mourn the loss of their way of life.

To make sure we understand the message, the second warning of this verse says that all the secondary industries attached to fishing, will be full of wailing. In other words, the destruction of this one industry will have wide repercussions in the world. There will be a large portion of society in every country that will be impacted by this change. This would include a large portion of the vitamin and pill industry today. It would impact the medical industry and their use of shark cartilage and fish oils and many other things that come from the oceans.

But, it is widely known that this industry is already in dire straits. Something dramatic has to happen soon to change the world’s reliance on this bounty of the sea. The fish of our day are over run with parasites, worms, Mercury poisoning, and all sorts of unusual and harmful pests. The numbers of fish have dramatically declined in recent history. Fish today are generally soft and lacking in character compared to what they once were. There has been a strong degradation and all of the fish species.

The Lord Jesus Christ is returning to this Earth with the Saints, and He’s going to put things back the way they are supposed to be. The fish industry is just one element that will be completely changed. And, it must be completely changed.

But this is only one area, because there is a whole world of change that is going to take place. And to keep us from just focusing on fish, we are reminded that all the hills will be brought down. So while there is mourning going on all over the earth over the loss of this major industry, there will also be the sound of rocks crumbling, being crashed, shattered and broken in the hills wherever they are. The only mountain in the whole earth will be mount Zion. Every crooked way, every hilly area, will be leveled. So even though the oceans, seas, and lakes that we know today will be emptied, the basins where they stand will also be filled. Instead of water basins, there will be a river that will leave the Temple of God in Jerusalem, and it will flow to the four corners of the Earth. In that river, which becomes four great mighty rivers, will be an abundant supply of healthy and easily caught fish. The fish life will also be a great joy to watch and will bring happiness and entertainment to mankind. The great dangers of the oceans, of boating accidents, of dangerous sea creatures, will be a thing of the past.

So is this great mourning, and crying out over the loss of the current world system of fishing a bad thing? Not when God is orchestrating it, and bringing about a system that is safe, secure, and not plagued with sin at every level. Instead it will be a means whereby anyone can have a healthy meal when needed, just as the days when Christ baked fish he had caught for the disciples to eat. Can you imagine a world where there are no fish markets anymore? Can you imagine a world where that pungent, sickening smell of fish is gone? Can you imagine a world where fish is free? Can you imagine a world where you don’t have to check through huge manuals and pay great fees for the privilege of sticking a hook into a stream or lake, but knowing you’ll probably go home empty-handed, and with the stack of new expenses? Can you imagine a world where only clean, healthy fish are eaten, and there is no worry about where it came from, or what is in it, who has handled it, or where it is been?

Then you are dreaming of a world without all the barriers that exist today to try to block the progress and impact of sin in disease. You’re dreaming of a world where you can run great distances very quickly and easily. You are dreaming of a world where you do not need to pack your lunch; you simply go about your duty, and know that there will be fresh fruit, and fresh fish, when you get there. You’re also dreaming of the world where it will take much less to survive and do well. Why I would say, that sounds like heaven on earth!

Last of the Violin Section finished!

O Worship the King

This piece was originally written for a harp and violin, and it still can be used for that, but we changed things a little bit to be a piano and violin duet piece. Wow! what a beautiful piece of music! It is a bit of a medley, so flow very nicely. We hope you can find good use for this well written and skillful music!

The cover was made from a photo on the Temple mount in Jerusalem in Israel. Inside the cover is an overview of the things that happened at this most holy site on earth. Prayers from God’s people have gone up from this site for 4000 years!

We have provided the music scores for violin, piano, and the two combined. We also had the robot play the music so it could be heard to gain an idea of how it sounds.

What a Wonderful Saviour

This is our last piece to offer from this book! We hope the music is a blessing to others and can continue being used to the glory of God. Getting good musical arrangements is so hard, and it should be much easier with all the musical arrangements that have been made over the last 2000 years!

The cover of this piece was made from a photo of Jeroboam’s High Place. It is the place where he shamefully set up a golden calf for Israel to worship to keep his people from going to the holy Temple of Jerusalem. It offers a challenge for us to be able to cleanse away the filth of our lives as Hezekiah did, so that God can bless us and we can know Him as the Wonderful Savior that He has been for so many true Christians.

Again the piano, violin and combined scores are offered for free (to you, we still have the costs to bear of offering them), and we hope God will bless those that make use of this treasury of Holy music. This music is separate from the world’s distortions and immorality and can only be appreciated by those that are yielded to the only Savior from sin and its consequences.

Violin Hymn Score work

2011

We did several things last week, including re-designing the Violin music scores page. This week we worked on setting up a status table so we can handle the remaining sections.

Count Your Blessings was redone with corrected and reworked scores. We also redid the audio file to slow it down, adjust the speed and the volume of the instruments as they relate to each other.

We had to remove a couple titles that were listed, since we cannot locate the scores for them! These were “Nothing Is Impossible,” “The Love of God,” and “O Could I Speak.” Maybe later they will appear!

We’re Marching to Zion is now completed and ready! This is a simple march for the violin and piano. The cover photo is of Gadera on the Sea of Galilee. The inside of the cover features a lesson about being freed from demons and repentance. It also has a short description of Zion. Listen to the synthesized audio and look over the scores! This might be a musical piece that would be fun to play!

My Heavenly Father Watches Over You is also ready! The cover features a photo of an old boat from the Sea of Galilee. Inside the cover is a Bible lesson on the anchor. This music composition is a remarkable and well thought out and written piece of music that is a must for anyone serious about sacred hymns. Take a serious look at this piece!

The Joy-Trust Medley is now ready! Praise the Lord! This piece has been used in small Christian circles now for over 10 years and is a tried and true peppy little piece of music. The cover features a 3000 year old replica of Solomon’s Temple at Tel Arad in Israel. Inside the cover is an article on the story of Israel, and the story of the photo, and how import it is to trust our Savior. If nothing else, enjoy the synthesized reproduction of the music!

Send the Light now has the synthesized music added! If you would like to hear who the music sounds by a robot, now you can!

Cheryl Macomber did a second check on things and found some problems on things that were not working right, so these have been fixed as well. In all this has been a great week!
