John Robinson sermon

Today is an amazing day and one where you could say that was the real beginning of our Country: The United States of America.

It was spend fasting and praying and listening to an exhortation from a dear old preacher on the importance of not relying on man for help, and instead facing insurmountable difficulties and dangers with God’s help alone. There were over 100 people that gathered this day 393 years ago to seek God’s face, repent of sin, and beg for God’s blessing for each one of them.

Tomorrow is the day when those staying in Holland put on a big feast, or “last meal” together for those leaving. They sang the Psalms in a most beautiful and harmonic fashion, since they were well trained in music. The walk to the Mayflower was a quiet one, with each person’s heart breaking at the thought they may not see each other ever again, and the grimness of what lay ahead of the travellers.

Those first Pilgrims, having to flee Europe’s decadence, immorality, agnosticism, anti-Saints spirit, and general humanism; were setting forth to face a fierce battle just trying to extricate themselves from England. But that was only the beginning of the sorrows and depravations they would endure. They were praying for God’s help in crossing the great Ocean, protection from the most savage people on earth (yes, Savages!), and protection from the French and Spanish, and even other Englishmen in establishing a Biblically based colony.

If such a place could open up today, would we go or stay in this filthy world? It is getting harder for real Christians (saints) to manage living in cities and towns. There is a real effort underfoot, not only politically, but socially, and economically to drive every true Bible believing person from this earth into what they think is oblivion.

Heaven is not a place for patsies, or worldly “Christians.” It is the abode for eternity for those who overcame through the blood of the Lamb!

Privileges to Active Commandment Doers

Revelation closes with Revelation 22:14 that makes no exceptions to keeping God’s commands, Christ’s instructions, and New Testament teaching.

A person has to be found actively doing the commands of all Scripture in order to have privileges in the New Jerusalem. These are people that make the teachings and laws of God relevant to today through their careful observance of them, and practices each day. They are people that actively study the instructions to make sure they are following them correctly.

Where does that put the person today that just said the sinner’s prayer, but continues on living how they please, except maybe attending a church service now and then? Where does that put the person that goes to some church that does not teach the commandments of God and holy living?

Frankly the sinner’s prayer or some momentary assent to Christianity carries no meaning. Baptism by immersion is a good start, but even that does not save. It takes a lifestyle I don’t see among those that profess to be Christians and sure of a seat in the theater of heaven. Christians really approach Christianity as a sign on the dotted line membership application, and then don’t think they need to do anything to prove their membership from then on.

The Lord Jesus’ last words to us is to make sure we are obeying all of the Scriptural commands so that we have the privileges of access to the Tree of Living and also be allowed to enter the Gateways to the New Jerusalem. Those that do not make a lifetime proof of their salvation do not have these privileges, and frankly, they don’t have a place in heaven either.

Christianity takes work and there will be clear evidence of the rejection of the immoral, unethical, unholy life of the world. There will also be a clear rejection of the world to those that follow the faith of the Scriptures. Acceptance by the worldly is proof there is no change in the heart and lifestyle. It is also proof there was no salvation.

Drinking Nazir and Silent Preachers!

God chose out the most elite among the young mature men of Israel to be nazir and prophets. Nazir were those who made a vow to God and could not let anything get in the way of fulfilling their vow, not even stopping for a fruit drink, or cutting their hair. They were to be steadfast in reaching their goal and then returning to the Temple to be purified and released from the vow.

Paul became nazir to obey God and go to Jerusalem again, probably for a feast day. Even though he was an apostle to the Gentiles, and hundreds of miles away, he made a vow to return and make a required feast. Others served God in this way, always seeking to obey God and vowing to perform His duty in some fashion.

Prophets, or better known today as Preachers, were also sent by God with a message to Israel, and told to make sure the Israelites heard. Often the best way to do that was to get up at one of the great feasts and repeat the message to the crowds that gathered at the Temple to sacrifice and listen to speeches.

The normal Jewish reaction was to make those that were nazir drink some kind of fruit drink, knowing that such violated their vow to God. In other words, they did not consider such zealous obedience to God as deserving respect. They belittled it and forcibly sought to undo the vow by disqualifying the person under obligation by a vow given by God.

Regarding the prophets, they would command they not speak for God, and that they just be quiet. Those that persisted were executed. Often God’s spokesman was just one against a thousand that spoke what people wanted to hear, and completely opposite what God wanted said.

God is going to put Israel through another holocaust because they refuse to follow His Word or His spokesmen. They completely reject His Son, Jesus, the Messiah.

The problem is, God focuses on Israel and their problems, and the reason He will continue to pummel them till they get things right. Where does that put the Gentiles? If God is really angry at what the Jewish people do to the men of God, what will He do with the Gentiles that are even worse when it comes to holy people?

The holy men of God today are either without work, in prison, or dead. They are not allowed to speak openly about the things God says. America was the last place on earth where Baptists fought to have a right to speak openly about God’s word, have the children of America taught God’s word and prayer and to freely worship God without restrictions. These hard fought for measures have been cancelled in the United States so that it can be like all other nations, the majority of which kill Christians in mass killings after using them as slaves of the state to perform inhuman work in deadly conditions.

Meanwhile, clowns and entertainers have taken over the function of holy men, saying only things that fill the coffers of self-serving luxury and immoral depravity. They have taken the holy atmosphere of solemn worship and hymn singing done in the homes of the devout and built huge warehouses for the seduction of humanity, and the extracting of wealth from even those that have nothing. They make promises that never are fulfilled and become apt at lulling a nation into a stupor as it falls into disaster and under God’s curse.

Which crowd do you support and identify with today? Is it the broad way to your own eternal destruction and punishment or the one that is only for the persecuted but heavenly focused individual?

These thoughts come from Amos 2:12

Last of the Violin Section finished!

O Worship the King

This piece was originally written for a harp and violin, and it still can be used for that, but we changed things a little bit to be a piano and violin duet piece. Wow! what a beautiful piece of music! It is a bit of a medley, so flow very nicely. We hope you can find good use for this well written and skillful music!

The cover was made from a photo on the Temple mount in Jerusalem in Israel. Inside the cover is an overview of the things that happened at this most holy site on earth. Prayers from God’s people have gone up from this site for 4000 years!

We have provided the music scores for violin, piano, and the two combined. We also had the robot play the music so it could be heard to gain an idea of how it sounds.

What a Wonderful Saviour

This is our last piece to offer from this book! We hope the music is a blessing to others and can continue being used to the glory of God. Getting good musical arrangements is so hard, and it should be much easier with all the musical arrangements that have been made over the last 2000 years!

The cover of this piece was made from a photo of Jeroboam’s High Place. It is the place where he shamefully set up a golden calf for Israel to worship to keep his people from going to the holy Temple of Jerusalem. It offers a challenge for us to be able to cleanse away the filth of our lives as Hezekiah did, so that God can bless us and we can know Him as the Wonderful Savior that He has been for so many true Christians.

Again the piano, violin and combined scores are offered for free (to you, we still have the costs to bear of offering them), and we hope God will bless those that make use of this treasury of Holy music. This music is separate from the world’s distortions and immorality and can only be appreciated by those that are yielded to the only Savior from sin and its consequences.
