Separation by Sex

Jun

The Lord Jesus Christ commanded that those follow Him must separate themselves completely from the world. The more a Christian learns to obey God’s word, the more separated from the world he becomes.

It is interesting to note, that God explains the requirements of true repentance, before the Messiah will come back to save those in Jerusalem. The final requirement is that the Jewish people separate by sex. Each extended family will meet together, but the women will meet separately. This same command extends to war, purification, and divine service. As the apostle Paul said, the best work for God is done by those who are single, and not encumbered with pleasing their spouse. A single person really should not try to become married. God has a special plan for those that are single, that he cannot give to those that are married.

When it comes to true repentance, we have to step away from our marriage is to truly accomplish it. For it to be real, it cannot be coed.

It is a very interesting thing to watch; when a woman enters a room with there is only men. That lone woman becomes the center of every individual man’s attention. It does not matter what the men were doing before she entered. They might’ve been praying, pouring out their hearts to God, or intently studying Scripture, but a woman enters the room, and every man becomes distracted. They cannot focus on what they’re doing anymore; their concern goes out to the woman.

In order for men to focus, they cannot have a woman present. They can have other men present, but they cannot have any females present. The same follows when men repent, they cannot be around even a single woman. They must be around other men. Not being a woman, I suspect the opposite is true as well. Women cannot truly be themselves, and be honest, unless they are with those of their same sex and family.

It used to be unheard of, in any Christian church that the men and women would sit together. Men would sit on their side, or in front, and the women on their side or in back. Children sit with the womenfolk, but as they mature, the boys would move to sit with the men. It is often very interesting to notice that in churches today, once the romantic intrigue ends up dating and courting, this seems to naturally happen. The wives go off by themselves in the nursery, and spend the church hour socializing with other women and children. Whoever is in charge of keeping order in the church, knows that they must visit the nursery and kick out as many women as possible. Even the teenage girls like to hang out there, unless they are trying to catch the eye of some stupid fellow.

Jesus warned us that we must separate ourselves from the world, forcing racial integration, imposing coed living, and worshiping in a coed environment, has done much to break down both the appeal and effect of our churches today. We may not be able to change the status quo, and we may feel like we are stuck with a coed lifestyle, but if we dared to be different, and dared to be holy, maybe we would find out that God’s way is actually better! Of course it always is!

Eliza Hewitt & hymns

Eliza Hewitt remained unmarried all her life and suffered greatly after trying to discipline a boy in school. She was an invalid for several months and had to endure a body cast so her back could heal. During this time, she developed a heart for God and children. She also discovered the value of the pen and began writing poems for church and Sunday School. These were soon found by the song writers and set to music. She also began writing Sunday School material to help teachers reach their students.

Once she was able to get about again, she was thrilled and put her endeavors into the Sunday School movement, doing all she could to teach and reach children with the gospel and Christian ideals. At one point she had a class of 200 students in the Presbyterian church where she was a member.

To see her photo and story use the following links. From that page there are links to the hymn stories she wrote.

New Year Bible Reading

2013

Well, the Biblical new year has already started! It took us extra time to make the conversions to get the Bible reading schedule online, but it is finally working again!

It is exciting to do things God’s way! All around the globe we are hearing about the spring thaw and blessings and everyone is feeling as if the new year has arrived, in spite of the calendars they use! God says that this is actually when the calendar is supposed to begin and it used to be that most calendars started around this time. Of course politics and cultic religions always have to mess with things that work to force their own ways upon people, in hopes they will forget God (yes Roman Catholic leadership included), so calendars have rejected this wonderful time of spring for the start of the new year and even the Jewish calendar starts their new year in the fall, just the opposite of God’s command! Interesting.

So, we again persist and resist the world wide trend and go with a Bible reading schedule that follows God’s instructions for the first month and the first day of the month. It is thrilling reading the old diaries of the early Christian Americans that sought to remove all forms of idolatry from their lives and so could not use the day or month names in their diaries and businesses records. They too had to simply call things what they were: “Third month, 2nd day of first week” etc. Of course they used the spring time as the first month as do we on this Bible reading schedule.

If anyone wants to join us, we use Skype each day and could easily add you to our family readings. It would actually be fun to have others join us and expand our “family.” Just email us, and we will make the arrangements. We meet each day at 7:30 pm Pacific Time Zone. It works out great for those east of us in the later time zones, since it tends to be later for them and easier to do.

Anyway, join the reading program at the very least! Would to God that all who profess belief in the name and teaching of the Lord Jesus Christ would read the Bible with us each day! The world’s system would be on shaky ground!

Violin Hymn Score work

Aug

2011

We did several things last week, including re-designing the Violin music scores page. This week we worked on setting up a status table so we can handle the remaining sections.

Count Your Blessings was redone with corrected and reworked scores. We also redid the audio file to slow it down, adjust the speed and the volume of the instruments as they relate to each other.

We had to remove a couple titles that were listed, since we cannot locate the scores for them! These were “Nothing Is Impossible,” “The Love of God,” and “O Could I Speak.” Maybe later they will appear!

We’re Marching to Zion is now completed and ready! This is a simple march for the violin and piano. The cover photo is of Gadera on the Sea of Galilee. The inside of the cover features a lesson about being freed from demons and repentance. It also has a short description of Zion. Listen to the synthesized audio and look over the scores! This might be a musical piece that would be fun to play!

My Heavenly Father Watches Over You is also ready! The cover features a photo of an old boat from the Sea of Galilee. Inside the cover is a Bible lesson on the anchor. This music composition is a remarkable and well thought out and written piece of music that is a must for anyone serious about sacred hymns. Take a serious look at this piece!

The Joy-Trust Medley is now ready! Praise the Lord! This piece has been used in small Christian circles now for over 10 years and is a tried and true peppy little piece of music. The cover features a 3000 year old replica of Solomon’s Temple at Tel Arad in Israel. Inside the cover is an article on the story of Israel, and the story of the photo, and how import it is to trust our Savior. If nothing else, enjoy the synthesized reproduction of the music!

Send the Light now has the synthesized music added! If you would like to hear who the music sounds by a robot, now you can!

Cheryl Macomber did a second check on things and found some problems on things that were not working right, so these have been fixed as well. In all this has been a great week!
